I think it all would be better without the effects. Its the effects that makes this look amateur. Agree with the comment "repetitive" here.
I see your ambition though and think you are on the right track. You wanna make a video that rhymes with your music. But i think you need a bit more advanced idea than to just shoot a christmas tree and people skating around it.
