Vegas or Avid?

Quick question. I currently use Song Vegas 13 to edit tutorial videos and the like. Is there any advantage in using Media Composer for the same thing? If not - is there a point at which I will feel a real benefit from Avid as I grow or take on slightly more complex projects?

why not use adobe premiere? has all of the features and with after effects provides a solid suite for post production/editing
