Tagging Forum - I need at least one of you

I am currently expecting to be doing at least some video editing myself in the foreseeable future. I'll expect to experiment with the free offerings first, then the more recommended entry level programs for the hobbiest.

What are the things I need to know to start?

A short summary of my blacklisting situation is in the Music Breakroom

Hey, first things first: i dont really have a clue or experience with video-editing.

But i already jumped into the Water of getting the software and played around, cutting some footage together and layering stuff for a little video for one of my beats.

I decided to go with the Free Version of Davinci Resolve: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve
The Version is still pretty rich on features comaperd to the paid Studio: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/compare

This actually was a color correction software, my video-guy said "industry standard" or something like that, and now they added a timeline editor so you have full video-edit software, for free.

I decided to go for this because it looks professional to me and it is free. I hope i can use it for a long time for making videos! Because i dont like to learn new software to do the same task :)

So hope that helps you a bit and good luck with that whole blacklist story!

I am busy researching "statement of claim" info for now. I have lawsuit papers to file before next week.

Thanks for the encouragement. It may not go anywhere until the new filing and another forward movement by the judge.

That does help a bit and I appreciate the helpful post.

Vry sry cant listen to ur trax...headphones just broke.

Which song r u editing for? What is the vid theme?

Oh man sounds like a pain in the ass to do so much paper work on such a negativ topic...

I do a video for https://soundcloud.com/vightn/passing-summer

As far as the theme i just took some video footage from the park, trees, lake, etc.
And then layer a old video from Diana Ross & The Supremes (one sample source) over it, where i cut the claps from their video to sync my beat. Its more or less finished and came out a bit psychodelic, but not feeling it in the winter to make it done!

So i will make a little video for another beat that is all about "Once upon a time in the west" :)

The claps to the beat sound good..i always love stuff like that and dont see it enuf...ill b sure to check back up on this when time permits...the best
