Post Production in Pro Tools

Ok, I have a film at 25 fps.

I have set my project session up to match the frame rate of the video at 25 fps also.

So far so good.

What my problem is syncing.

Visually the syncing of foley to the video is fine. Not a problem.

But what I'm wanting to do is sync the foley (specifically the beginning of the transient) to a desired frame.

Much like what can be done when quantisizng a kick drum to a beat. Perfect Sync.

How do you do this with regards to frames?

Also, is there any way to view each individual frame on the Pro Tools video track? Or even introduce a frame ruler?

I know in Cubase each frame is numbered and on it's video track shows the beginning of each frame.

Thanks for any help you wish to offer?

a clapper would help but you are on the right track... you can easily just use a kick or a snare to sync. If you have vusial lyrics, Ps and Bs are your friend.
