How important are ACTUAL videos

Nightmare on Social Media is a new social media promotion company and my latest artists doesn't want actual videos. He only wants his name and the name of the song to show on YouTube while the music plays. I've worked in sales and marketing so I know motion evokes emotion and helps sell things but this could build anticipation to c wat he looks like or it could make people ignore him but big Sean dis it. what u guys think? video or words?

I think that the whole picture with a song video is wack. People need to see how much you are willing to invest in yourself. You need a decent HD video with good editing and many scenes so you can stand out of the crowd
