How do you record the computer screen?

For instance when people on youtube make beat videos it's just their voice and the computer screen. What type of program do you need for that?

Best in class is vidshotcapturer in terms of quality. Cons - takes as long as the capture to post-process it. Pros - Free

Next is Camstudio 2.0 (aka FreeScreenRecorder and EasyScreenCaptureVideo2.exe - i.e. the engine in CamStudio is based on the other two)

you might also try 1avCapture from pcwinsoft.

First post, listen to that dude. I use that shit for making my skatevideo tutuorials from time to time, works great and has clear capture. Damn i wish screentoaster was still up that site was awesome.
