I use this.

Its simple and easy. You can make a menu with a background and music on this, thats about it. It supports a lot of file formats tho. After I convert I use a good free program called imgburn to burn em.

I just ordered a new burner that comes with nero so I'll prolly start using that. More detailed stuff.

Roxio's good too.

Oh if you got Nero **** all that other **** I told you, just use nero. You should be able to do everything with it.
 
Here's one example of software to do this that I found by a little Googling:

Imgburn

Never used it since I'm a Mac guy, but could be worth a try. I can't attest to its integrity or how well it works. Look around a little and see if you can find a program that's right for you.

Oh, and I would use standard DVD-R's. DVD-RW's are best for data storage.
