LOL damn. Was definitely funny... If I had to guess, you shot this on the t2i, neutral or cinestyle picture style, stock lens?
Those picture styles are low contrast, so for color correction you'll have to introduce some contrast back into the footage to liven it up.
Looked like the bedroom scene was underexposed, in low light settings don't be afraid to push the iso a bit, even in low light you need to expose correctly, ESPECIALLY with low contrast footage.
Not bad for a first video, just look more into your color correction and different angles.
