haha its fine, i used a canon 5d with a 50mm f 1.8 lens, as for lighting i used flood lights (from like home depo) with gels, a mole light from my neighbor, and another old light i had in my basement. and also i used one of those big industrial flood lights from homedepot and bounced it off a wall so it wasnt so bright
 
don't use one true media either, get used to using programs like sony vegas or adobe premiere. When you want to do better effects/sync one true media or wmm just wont' cut it. What you said about the raws is right too, if you can't find raws use dub, can't find dub find .mkv files that aren't hard subbed(put directly onto the video footage) and convert it to avi. It was a decent first amv, using your own voice added some personality to the vid as well.
