Sup everyone.
Recently joined and finally made this post just to say what's good. Respect to OGBama she recommended the forum to me, and I came on over.
I'm into a lot of Hip-Hop, whether it's Boom-Bap, Down-Tempo, weird Ambient Trip-Hop vibes, mainly listen UK ones now I've made a few connections locally on the scene, but I used to be quite Americanized, and dig all the old-school creators, and Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM, Flatbush, etc I don't really dig the so called 'top of the charts' commercial radio tunes though.
I don't really have a lot of experience in beatmaking, I messed around for a little bit, but I've learn't and done a lot more recently, and learnt to use bits of hardware etc, got an MPC as I like sampling a lot and sampled/tape vibes, especially slower beats. Mixing and stuff is definitely holding me back on getting beats out though, I don't have a lot of knowledge on that, so if anyone does mixing maybe I can link with you on that. Peace
