i make all of my beats on my mpc2000xl but i do not have a daw to record into. i also would like to send samples from from my mpc then transpose them into a different key without changing the tempo which i cant do on my mpc and i was wondering which daw would be best

Here's two that I personally recommend

    FL Studio - personal experience
ProTools - haven't used personally, but it's an industry standard

Ableton live. It can do so much so that even when we're all old and into classical music and stuff, you could still use it for that.

although im not a fan of FL for recording i would recommend you get it because you can do that pitching effect very easily with the granulizer. otherwise grab reaper demo (cheaper option) and use the superpitch plugin to shift up your samples

FL is easy for beginners, but it's all about your skills, not the daw

IMO, a cheap ver. of Cakewalk like Music Creator if you plan to stay dedicated to your MPC. It has a loop editor with timestretch and I believe runs about $40. No reason for much more if all you want to do is create loops and get sounds from your MPC onto your computer.
Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.

Ye, pretty much any daw could do what you need.
Just download demos and try them out, see what works best for you.

If you plan on mixing in the daw too, you should check out the native plug ins too

ProTools! It's a great DAW and industry standard. Also, it comes with a pitch shift plugin that can shange the pitch of a sample without changing the length.

If I'm not mistaken you can record straight into Audacity, it's not as intricate as FL or Ableton but you can at least get your files on the computer and it's free
