Using slice tool in fl studio

Hi I'm new to all this. Iv done a vocal sample in harmor and sent it to piano roll. Iv tried using slice tool to cut it in half on piano roll but the part I sliced plays from the beginning of the sample and not the last half of the sample like I wanted. I'm using fl studio

You're gonna have to bounce that sample from Harmor to a wav file and put it in the sequencer and slice it that way. You could then chop that up at transients and import it to a sampler of sorts to have all the slices mapped to different keys on your keyboard.

Cutting up a midi note will not let you do what you want.

Thanks it's been frustrating me like hell. A simple thing I want to do taking forever n still not working. Thanks for the advice.
