Studio One V2 - Komplete 8 - Maschine Set Up?

I am thinking about purchasing Studio One V2 Professional but I just have two general questions before I make the purchase:

1. Will it support all Komplete 8 Ultimate and Maschine plug-in formats?

2. How do I rewire Komplete 8 & Machine through Studio One?

I am a beginner so I am still new to understanding plug-in formats and what they mean.


From reading the product overview I noticed:

Studio One - Supported Plug-in formats: AU, VST

Komplete 8 - Supported Plug-in formats: RTAS, VST, AU, Standalone

Maschine - Supported Plug-in formats: Standalone, VST, Audio Units, RTAS, ASIO, Core Audio, WASAPI

Since Studio One only supports AU and VST is it possible to take full advantage of all the Komplete 8 and Maschine Plug-ins and features?

In practice, yes. Not that it needs to support anything but one format that works - the different formats are basically versions for different programs, but they all work the same.

2. How do I rewire Komplete 8 & Machine through Studio One?

Komplete is a set of plugins; they'll load up like any other plugin after installation. There's no need to "rewire" anything, and I'm sure Studio One's documentation describes basic plugin usage. The Maschine's setup might be slightly more involved, but basically it's the same - you load up the Maschine plugin and you're done.

Since Studio One only supports AU and VST is it possible to take full advantage of all the Komplete 8 and Maschine Plug-ins and features?

You only need one format that works.
