[Starting/VST] Can you help me look for a soft synth to create a specific sound?

Hey there o/

I am on the verge of buying a DAW, which one is not important to this conversation but I am doing research on which plugins I would want to purchase next to it.
As you can see in the title, I am looking for a software synthesizer to create a specific sound with.

More specifically, I want to create sounds that are similar to this:

I know almost all synthesizers are versatile and can do a lot, but it would be a bit of a waste if I just spend money on a random synthesizer which I know nothing about.

Built in plugins are enough but if you still want to get a third party one you'll have to research the lists.Kvr and then there's those top tens and such. Typing synth vst in google brings up a bunch of random synths, vst4free etc.
 
Are you sure it is as simple as searching 'Best VST Synth' in Google and buying the first hit?

Or just get sylenth in all honesty, you can create a whole array of sounds through there or even just get soundpacks.
 
Those are all choices, don't get the first thing you see research the choices that interest you since they all do very similar things.
Basically try out demoes of anything you can firsthand for a decent amount of time before settling on one/few.

That's where it all goes back to, try out the stuff yourself to see if it's what you like to not have second thoughts.

also consider some of the synths from Native Instruments or get yourself Komplete 10 Ultimate and get all of their current plug-ins and synths (as of last October)

shoot if you buy their komplete controller keyboard you can get komplete ultimate for half price right now
