I'm not sure if I'd highly recommend the Suite - good stuff there (and I'm a Suite owner), but one has to look long and hard at what it offers compared to the vanilla version before dropping the monies. It doesn't offer any extra functionality, so it's all about the plugins & sample libraries that come with it (which are good but hardly essential for everybody).

Actually, it does have some extra functionality, but it's in more obscure areas that are less expended by the average producer, for example, you get three extra warp modes in Suite, which are awesome. Also, Live's instruments F*ckin kill, I don't use many VST's and Suite comes with all of them.

I listen to the most of hip hop kinds, but what attracts me more on beats are those that they do with samples old school musics, like we can hear, for example, on many of Wiz Khalifa tracks and on most of Kanye West productions. I got more interested in pad controllers than the octaves ones because of it. I love the sampling stuff, you know? I think it's nicer because the most of brazilian rap is made this way, with samples of old school soul and R&B songs.

I would like more to buy a keyboard with the pads, but they are a little expensive for me in this moment...

Nope, the warp modes (Complex & Complex Pro) are in the standard version as well. Direct quote from the Ableton version comparison page: "Suite 8 has the same feature set as Live 8 and adds eleven instruments."
