    Hey guys, it's Lambizzle here.

I've been a ghost on this website for a long time, finally decided to register an join in.

I'm basically looking for some tips of promotion for a new producer, what type of avenue's should I go down to get my beats heard by people?

    Thanks in advance.

Advertising, connecting with local emcees where they hang out (shows, cyphers and battles) and finding a more successful producer to work with are all great ways to get your name and beats out there.

Twitter, and networking. I also agree that you should work on getting some pull in your local market first before you start chasing a broader audience.

Yeah, going to the local market is huge if you want a larger, long-term career. It's a much longer road, but one that could make or brake you.

Personally, I think twitter should be looked at as an extension of your brand, not something that you should devote a ton of time into. However, that's just my opinion. Some people have had a lot of success using twitter.

It can't hurt to get a twitter bro. It's just another avenue where people can find out about you. You dont have to devote a whole heap of time for it to benefit you either. I recommend getting on all the big social networks. Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, SoundCloud, the more avenues you have the bigger chance of people finding your shit.

I have started promoting my music. I found the best was to get feedback is to give feedback. Use Soundcloud, Fb, twitter, and even sites like bandcamp or reverb. THe more sites you are active on the more exposure you will get. Cloudkillers is a great site to use as well to help get comments on your soundcloud.

That's the main point, being active.
