    NEW reason book

We are planning on doing a reason book geared towards hip hop. Of coure this will not be done overnight and I'm looking for help from a few keyboard players. It will be in electronic format and will include a refill. I just wanna know what are people intrested in seeing. So far we have this.

    1. configuration
    2. Basic rack setup
    3. Drums
    4. Sampling 1 point of view
    5. Samlping from another point fo view
6 keyboards 1 point of view
    7. keyboard from another point of view

I plan on making this book subjective like the mixing engineers handbook. So what I plan on putting in here is not the gospel. I'm going to try to get diffrent point of view abut the basic topics we cover. Recycle will be covered in here 2. any more ideas. So far I have the basic ideas layed out and the basic chapers done. If you wanna help out with this PM me.

i think alot of ppl stumble on using sounds (instruments) that compliment each other. for example the right bass with drums, paino/pizz/guitar what ever. it can make or brake a track. though im not sure you can teach that. id be intrested on working on it. its deffo a good idea.

deffo needs market research... this is the perfect place for it. find out what ppl what to know about reason... what they stuggle with.... etc etc

reason is a vast program, a book that teaches u how to choose instruments is not a reason book, or even a section in a book, maybe u can include not to overdo the rack, keep it at a minimum u no no wat i meen.

yes reason is a vast program. but I'ma gonna go over things like setting your Reason up to function like a MPC. making drum modules, adding effects, making the sound dirty a few different things.

You should include combinator patches with a ReDrum and eq./fx for all of the channels. I could probally put together a comb. for hard hitting dirty drums and a club boomy set-up with a bass eq to match the drums so that your mix doesn't get muddy. And I have some nice hip-hop style synth patches. Something needs to be done with this. There is very few resources for the hip-hop potential of Reason.
    Macbook Pro i7, Digi 002R, JBL LSR4328, CL7602 mic pre, SM7b, GT66, ProTools 10, Reason 5.
