    if you only want free stuff check out my homepage in my sig, links theres to plugin, sample and soundfont sites i can recommend stuff too if youre after anything in particular

    It doesn't always have to be a VST when it comes to sound.

    Focus on good sample packs (pretty much .wav files) and learn how to compress/EQ them to your liking.

    Also, grab a boatload of soundfonts.


    Those will probably take you further than you think. As long as Ableton has something to play them with (IE.. a sampler). If not... then find a free sampler that will play .wav files and soundfonts for you.

    co-sign. I've got SampleTank Free on my small home setup (using an oollddddd 2.0GHz single core CPU laptop), works fine... great sounds. Dunno if it can handle free Amplitube lol.. i'm not gonna push my luck there.


    Beetmaker is king btw. Yesterday it did an automatic upgrade... and my computer isn't even connected to the internet! Amazing!
