the mpc 3000 doesnt have a high pass filter so what is a good way to get rid of the low end, without using computer software?

EQ or multiband compression
the mpc 3000 aint got no compressor or an eq man....
dafuq ok well your stuck with outboard gear or a computer
This article AKAI Sampling Articles explains how you can do high-pass and band-pass filtering on an Akai without a filter board but you will still need to use software to make an inverted copy of the sample and it eats into polyphony.
The simplest solution would be to get additional hardware for the task.
When you load the sample into your MPC, does your turntable go throu' a Mixer? You should be able to do it straight on the mixer, when the record is playin'.

Yeah, I've had that Mixer. Should work fine.

The MPC3000 was made in another time. It was intended to be accompanied by outboard gear. No other option.
Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.
