Hello ev eryone and thankyou for your input. I was curious to know exactly what a mixtape is,itys uses and general info on it.. Also laws on sharing, selling, using etc any laws associated with creating or distributing mixtapes.. Thankyou for you help with this!!!!
 
a mixtape is a promotional tool

since a mixtape is a 'promotional' item nobody can really do anything about it as long as you 'give it away for promo'. you don't need to clear samples or anything has long as you give them away. if you charge well 'legally' speaking you're making an unotherwised compilation cd
 
dude was asking about legal.
people could charge for the service of finding the tape, whatever. but a mixtapes true purpose will always be promo
 
If it's not given away as free "promo" use. It's illegal, bottom line. Majority of the mixtapes are illegal.
