How do I connect a mixer to my laptop and output signals from my daw to it?

I'm looking at the Mackie ProFX12 mixer.

Do I need to go through an audio driver?
If so what one should I get?
I only use 2 mic inputs anyways.

Just get an audio interface and if you want a mixer get one with USB connectivity so you can use it along with your DAW channels.

This way you're going to do your job better and save money money.
