    Looping Question

    Hey Future Producers!

I am just here to ask what is the easiest way to make a percussion sample doing 1/4 to 1/8 to 1/16 to 1/32 to 1/64 and so on to get that loop roll type effect?

The only way I could figure out how to do it was draw manually in the notes. Is there an easier way or a vst which can help do this?

I'm not sure if it's gonna get much easier than drawing a bunch of notes of the same length, but there are some plugins that might be of interest, such as Audio Damage's excellent Replicant and DestroyFX'd classic (& free) Buffer Override (which just turned 10 years old!). Or you could just turn record quantization on in your DAW and play it in.

    Cheers man!

I tried messing with the quantization but it only go's to 1/64. I'll take a look at the Buffer Override and once again, I appreciate your help!!

I think what you want is note repeat with a variable rate.
