Do you want to make your beats more appealing to customers on soundclick and increase your sales?
This video will help you to learn the concept behind the mixing and mastering process.
Although I can't guarantee this will increase your sales (that comes from how well you can make beats and networking), but I can guarantee you that your beats will sound more professional.
Nice tut showcasing the flow of mastering, but what I think most people are struggling with (me included) is the how and why.
Didn't really feel like you adressed that too much. Especially the beat being as simple as it was. It seems to be a particularly hard topic for tutorials though, as there are hardly any good ones out there.
Gonna check out the videoes you referanced in the vid, might be something there.

Thanks for the feed back datsnork,
What kind of questions did you have in mind of the "how and why?" -- that will give me a lot to work with!
you should always strive for an amazing mix for showcasing instrumentals on soundclick, myflashstore, isellbetternow
why?
because ppl judge that because most are buying lease of 2-track instrumentals that they want to be able to rap/sing over right away
now a more serious artists may not care as most because they plan on buying the beat exclusively and get the track outs of the beat which will be mixed with his/her vocals later for the best results mix wise

Instead of saying "we boost here and here" you could try to explain why you do it, and what that will accomplish.
Or something like that :P
I don't really feel I know mastering at all. Whenever I attempt to do it I basically just slap on some light compression and a limiter. So it's hard to say how to format the tutorial really =/ sorry I can't really be more specific, lol.

Exactly, you got it fatal. But even then, just like you said, if you have that amazing mix, it's much more appealing, serious artist or not.
If you have a strong beat, or a weak beat, and your name's on it, people may look at you that way. So always be sure of what you're releasing out to the public, cause you're name is behind it!

Ok that's cool datsnork,
About the EQ was a good example. I'll keep it in mind. If you think of anymore just post them here or send me an email through the Beatstruggles contact.
