Izotope Vinyl for specific samples only - FL Studio

Hi, I'm using FL studio with Izotope Vinyl. When I add it to the mixer in a free insert, I add it to the first FX slot. Doing this and fooling around with the Izotope settings effects all of FL Studio, whether I am playing something or not. For example if I add dust, I'll hear that non stop.

I would like to vinylize specific samples only, for example a person talking. I know I'm doing something wrong, any suggetions on how to get this done?

The first (furthest left) mixer slot is the "master" so it will affect everything. Use any other mixer slot and assign the sound to that mixer slot using the box on the top right of the channel settings window.

I've been doing what thirdbeats has suggested, I haven't been adding it to the mixer, the second I add the plugin (even milly vinylli for ex) it right away starts crackling and I cannot stop it unless I replace it with none.

OR you can simply play the specific part you want, with the effects, on Edison, save it, and load the sample to the project.
