Hi I never had one, Im thinking of buying one but i dont want to spend more then 1000 bucks on it. So i decide to go with the mpc 1000. Now what id like to know is that all the features in the mpc1000 include time straching and other stuff that all the other higher mcps have. What is the biggest difference in them.
    thx.

    Please ignore this trash...

FL6 isn't magical either... regardless of what you choose, you have to have some skill...

Now to your post... the MPC1k and MPC2kxl are just about identical now...

the major difference I believe is the effects and the number of outs... and small nuances like grid-editing.

The Akai website used to have a comparison chart, but I can't find it anymore...

And btw.. you could probably find a 1k floating around for $7-800 if you look around

you can't time stretch on the mpc 1000 (correct me if I am wrong). The MPC 2000xl is a better machine because of that and the optional 8 outs. Personally I like the size of the 2000xl better. If I were you I would buy the 2000xl used. You can get one maxed out for like $900. I would chose the mpc 1000 over the mpc 2000 anyday especially if your big on computer synchronization because it has the usb connection and about the same price (used of course).
