Hear deaf and Music Production

Hi guys,

I recently found out that my hearing isn't as good as it should be. I've got some hearing issues at 6kHz and I can barely hear 17kHz. Its probably not that bad, but I'm just 19. How does it affect mastering&mixing and producing generally ? I just asked myself if its possible for me to produce qualitative good music- even in a few years.
 
That's a little below the average hearing range of humans.
Mine tops off at 19.5khz, but that's because I keep the volume low a lot.

Also keep in mind the distance you are from your speakers at any level as well as well as headphones at a reasonable level.
 
After years of listening to loud music, I can't hear any higher end frequency...lol i dont what the range is. I took the hearing test for the military at MEPs and did horrible on it.
 
as long as you know it's a problem just use a an analizer for mastering and mixing! it's the best you can do then!
