garage band vs logic pro

I have just started out making music, so at the moment I am using garageband. I know that the next stage would be to buy logic pro, but what exactly are the differences between the two? What can you do in logic that you cannot do in garageband?

Garageband is very versatile. I would youtube editing possibilities and videos prior to thinking you need to get new software just in case what you want in Logic is already in GB.

To be honest, I much prefer Studio One to Logic - and I'm still on V2! Version 3 looks insanely good!
All DAWs do the same thing(s) but some do certain some things better; or differently than others.
I personally think it's worth having more than one DAW at your disposal.
It's definitely worth considering several before making a choice.

FL is really popular here but Ableton offers a very different way of working - Cubase was the first DAW I used (I keep a copy of C5 running as I like the way it does automations) but I do most of my mix in Studio One after bouncing down from Maschine.
