Are there some free plugins for good catchy melodies.
I'm just a beginner and don't want to waste all of my money :')

The piano roll and step sequencer should be enough for that.

I guess arpeggiators and chord assist tools could be classified as "helpful" regarding melody creation, but nothing will decide what's catchy for you (and the best tool to create 'em is still, well, you).
