Hi guys! I have a couple of questions about accessing some features of FL Studio 11, I'll post screenshots of what I'm after to make it clearer.
In the first image, I opened a file from Projects ---> Cool Stuff---> Legacy, and from what I can tell, the piano roll is being used as a step sequencer, with notes replaced by separate instruments, how do you dot his?

This is a screenshot from a tutorial, where the author has his playlist split with a horizontal bar between tracks and instruments, is this option only available in older versions of FL studio? When he goes to the step sequencer, and clicks goes 'Pattern name' ---> Split by channel, it divides the pattern into playlist blocks, for me it just makes new patterns which I still have to individually assign to the playlist.

Thanks guys, I'm still wrapping my head around the interface, but I'm really enjoying it so-far!
