What version of fl studio are you using? I have to direct you to a thread similar to your question however I can't post links yet.
"use the BooBass plugin that comes with FL. Turn down the treble and mid on it then EQ it. Make sure you compress it and the kick it is under. Then just piano roll and mess around."

FL Studio 7! And I'll take that on board, Thanx![]()
I used to use a vst called DSK BassZ, unfortunately is windows only, can get some great sounds out of it and it's free! Spectrasonics trillian is great too. As for production, low pass, layering with a sub and turn up the resonance too..
Is there a beginners Guide to Eq this is good info but I need a newbie guide.
^^^^No lol. There is no easy button or easy way out. Learn & dedicate yr time 2 this sh!t if yr serious. I use 3xOsc alot, sometimes Trilogy, whatever sounds good. Off the bat I'd say play around in more then 1 octave, slide notes. Them 2 things I find myself doing alot. They're simple, but trust me you'll find lil ways to make it more&more yr own.
Hmmm im not sure theres a big huge secret to this, if its distorting turn it down and start with a clean vst bass to begin with.
