3 producers who inspired you

They are more composers than producers... but same difference imo.

1. Solar Fields - Mirror's Edge composer
2. Michael McCann - Deus Ex Human Revolution / Mankind Divided composer
3. Bonobo - Amazing trip-hop producer from England.

for me its mannie fresh dj premier and kanye west

3 Producers who really moved me were

Illangelo: One of the many minds that helped compile The Weeknds Trilogy Collection. Honestly he is great with giving the artist an atmosphere to create their own world to express themselves. Even though he did make a lot of dark beats its great to say he moved on to making more pop style songs and has an EDM group now. He showed me progression.

Clams Casino: Clams really helped ASAP with their overall sound in 2012 with loved tracks like Wassup and Demons but before that we have some amazing works by him that cannot be forgotten. With songs like I'm God he really did a lot for experimental production in the time and opened a path for more electronic and hiphop. His sampling was superb and he had a way of making music larger than life. Humble guy, still working on his craft.

Lex Luger: Lex really was the forerunner of trap music as we know it. Being looked up to by many young producers, he unknowingly creating a whole generation of producers who mastered 808 patterns. Working with many artist, mainly in the south, he helped cultivate the sound that so many are still using today. I have to put him on the list because I was always trying to make beats like Lex Luger when I was younger. And so were others too; Look at Metro Boomin, Pierre Bourne, Mexiko Dro, Poloboi Shawty, TM88, Murda Beatz, Oogie Mane, are just a few that you can hear the influence of Lex in.

I have so many other producers to put on this list but I won't overdo it :)
Great discussion question, I hope to see more of these topics around!

It's hard as hell to pick 3. So many genre defining people, so many era's. I'll go with Beats By the Pound AKA Medicine men (yes the whole crew), Dr Dre, Mannie Fresh, with Just Blaze as a strong runner up.

The 3 producers that originally inspired me to get into music were: Kanye, Pharrell, and Timbaland. Currently though, I've really been into Soulection, and that label/movement has really inspired my music and sound selection. Some of the people that are inspiring me, are Mr Carmack, Esta, and J. Robb. If you guys aren't familiar with Soulection definitely check them out, their music is on a different level.
