    Progressive rock bands pushed "rock's technical and compositional boundaries" by going beyond the standard rock

    Wich both of these bands have done. So stfu and flip it or leave it.

    Sorry, 3 chord rock (KISS) and hair bands (Cinderella, Poison, Etc.) weren't prog rock.

    Sorry, hair metal ballads don't push any boundaries except the boundaries of what I'll listen to or not. Neither of those bands were technical nor pushed compositional boundaries.
