i agree with music being about creativity but i dont think any1 is tryin 2 knock what he did, i particularly like it aside from the fact that it sounds a little to similar to the actual song... But the production around the sample was dope... Stay up homie

Your just a stupid dude that doesnt know shit about music!

Lmao, why all the negative engery, i understand what your saying but he has the freedom to do whatever he wants regardless of if you like it or not, and as previously mentioned he was only doing this to see if it could be done any good, thats all. Dont be so quick to hate, look from other perspectives.

And your right, i dont know a lot about music, its the precise reason im on this site, to learn.

    Peace CM

rofl this is some funny shit but honestly y'all niggas need to chill the **** out home boy was just expressing his creativity and sharing it with everyone so what if he jacked it from lupe and chopped it up its still unique and different and the fact that he wasn't afraid to try something different is what is cool about it. and where the **** is there a rule book at here music is about expression so there is no one who can tell this man how to express him self if you don't like it just say so but there is no rules about who you sample and where u sample it from everyone is entitled to their own opinion but y'all don't need to bash the dude so next time homie just call it a remix and it will calm all the women down who are on their period.

Here is my quick flip: http://soundcloud.com/eponim/im-beaming-instru-rmx

I like make beats so wtf, stop talking and have fun.
I'd took this thread like a challenge, it's cool to try something foolish sometimes, you can learn great things.
First time I flip an actual song (upper than '85) and the experience wasn't quite interesting, in fact I regret the lack of instruments and melodies in the choice of the sample.
This Lupe track isn't inspiring and the piano notes are really basics, but anyway, I've made the job!

    Peace.

Dude Classics have been made that sampled songs that were not out for long withing a 1-5 year radius. Shit Pharaoh Monch flipped a Maxwell Joint to make "Queens" from Internal Affairs. Brand Nubian Sampled a rock joint for "Slow Down" that was only 2 years old at the time. nice and smooth sampled that Tracy Chapman song "fast car" for "sometimes i rhyme slow".

It doesn't matter how old it is, all that matters is what comes out of those speakers. I always thought that the only rule for sampling is only sampling good music and if he feels that Im Beamin is good music then all the power to him.

I cant name 5 classic songs that were flipped from recent songs and even if I could that dont mean I agree with it. I am just not a fan of flipping hip hop tracks
