Flip This - Alan Parsons Project

I'm not sure how many people will flip this. The amount of material available is limited, but with some creativity you can make a heater with it. Here's the sample and my flip.

Flip: (Kind of repetitive but some vocals should help it out)

EDIT: Here is the first verse of the song by medafORACLE for our "group" Mouth West

Gil, What is the FM SUB?

Dope sub bass in FL.
In the browser go to Plugin Presets>Generators>Fruity DX10
Theres a lot of cool stuff in there.
Also a lot of dope stuff in the Sytrus folder.

dope f*ckin flip.

Thanks man, appreciate it.

I dig it. I like the FX you put on the sample. Only thing really hurting it is the mix..

What would you suggest Gilson, I've only been making beats seriously for 2 months or so, and mixing is just it's..hard for me haha. Was it the bass and sample or just the overall mix was off?

thanks for the feedback.

Gilson nice sample, love Alan Parsons Project. Liked your flip a lot. I especially liked it with the verse.

Ledford flipped it entirely differently, I was feeling it had an ethereal feeling to it.

Hope you guys enjoy mine. Feedback would be nice too.
This is tight.. U might wanna EQ that snare more so it bangs. And yea it seems like you might have over EQued the bass and sample just a bit.. Did you use Maximus or the Limiter in FL?

Everything was just kind of clashing and fighting to shine. Maybe turn the sample all the way down, then get your drums to sound how you want. Then slowly bring in the sample to a point where you can still hear the drums well. That's just the first simple thing that comes to mind. Mixing takes A LOT of practice to just be OK at it lol.

I used Maximus, I'll definitely play around with the EQ for the snare.

Thanks for the tip, going to try that right now.
