Hey there, i'm looking to get into digital djing and performance in general, i'm looking for a controller to use with traktor or ableton live, the novation nocturn caught my eye, but then i noticed the "Twitch" which looks really cool and offers more possibilities, but sadly everywhere i go there are extremely contradicting reviews of any piece of gear on the market, can anyone give me some headlines ? I'd appreciate it

If you are low on budget go take a look at Numark products they have very fair price for what they offer.

Hey LushD. I've been using the Twitch for about a year now. You are right, reviews are reviews... they all even have to be taken with a grain of salt, even mine right here. Personal experience, used it with the included Serato Itch for most of it, but just in the past few months, starting to expand it's capabilities. It's very mappable with both Traktor and Ableton. Between those two, it's actually more complicated to map that thing to Traktor Pro 2 before you get it the way you want it. (Given that TP2 expanded on quite a few features and persay, the Twitch was more so built for features in Serato) But, it is for all intent and purposes, very manageable. Ableton Live, your golden! Now, I personally am looking into some user made mappings I searched on YouTube at the moment to incorporate a new piece of gear into the mix, using Traktor, Ableton, Twitch, AND NOW... the Launchpad for further control of Ableton. I'm so pumped right now because I've been having good luck using the Twitch on it so far, so the Launchpad is going to put the icing on the cake. Twitch is really good though, not exactly a "Tier 1" controller, more so just below it in my eyes, but dang, for $400 (now) you can't go wrong. ( I bought mine from American Musical Supply when it was $500 but they have since dropped it down a hundo) One thing as a DJ, it did take a little getting used to without the platters on the controller, but those touch strips are fun once you get the feel for Twitchin' your fingers on em! Best of Luck! (If I remember, I'll let ya'll know what the outcome is when I get my Launchpad all mapped out to run alongside Twitch) peace!
