trust us we all would suggest 1200s over stantons any day. i just got rid of my str8-80 and sold it for $100 and bought a brand new 1200m3d. when i bought the str8-80 a year and half ago it cost me about $300. what a worthless $200 loss? And check this out. i have a str8-100 as well, good thing i only paid 150 for it, b/c everytime i move it it feels as though something is gona break. Don't waste money and buy junk, it will haunt you later.

I dont want to talk you autta getting techs, but there are other good tts out there, if there wasnt then there would only be technics to choose from. For a hundred bucks get a umx 5,7,9 you can find one on ebay cheap.

well, we gotta know, do you wanna spin at parties, clubs, raves?

i realized last night that, buying techs is a waist of money, of course its the best, but you dont need the best to practice, i sugest you buy stanton since they are pretty good, maybe not as good as techs but good enough. the str8-100 is the top tt of stanton, and its about 700$ or so... and its good enough to practice on. the only thing i hate about it are all those butons, you dont need 72 speed, ±8% is good enough.

thats what i might do, get two stantons instead of two technics, i save about 400 records, and thats a lot of records. but im used to techs, so its gonna be a bit hard at first, but ill get use to it.

as for the mixer, the pioneer djm-300 wtv is to expensive, get somthing else. the geminis are good for starters, oh and, dont buy the blue dog from numark, its bull****

in my experience, the only decks considerably cheaper than techs that are worth looking into are gemini pt2000's (i own some!), most others have fundamental flaws in various areas, but the pts are the only decks i have tried which i really have no complaints about, and you can buy them second hand for bout $400, team them up with a umx7, and, you got a real nice setup!
