    Cool Silly

I had a cartridge with a body weight of 20g (MC).
I had to strip it due to vinyl wear, but then the coils became charged with static electricity it sucked dust like nothing else. So what to do, hmmmmm - eureka! I bought a condom (without gliding cream)and pulled that over the pickup body. Result was perfect !! The only drawback was that the next morning on the bus the rumour spread around (there's the guy - he's sick ! sick ! sick !).

Moral : Dont ever compromise yr dedication.

At the old house I used to live at (affectionately called "1106") we had what was called "Demolition Corner" in the basement. We would smash the ish out of stuff down there...much, much fun. No DJ equipment (though I would have loved to smash my ex-pair of Gemini CDJ-10's and maybe my PS-676), but plenty of monitors, old computer expansion cards (many winmodems), a few hard drives, and whatever else we feel we needed to smash.

One kid who lived there even demolished a dryer down there in about 4 minutes flat after a conversation that didn't go so well with his parents. Man, that was a funny sight...no words spoken, just went into the basement and started to smash the ish out of it.

All of this was done mostly with a red fireman's-style sledge. We called it "Red XII˝" simply because it was red and weighed about 12˝ pounds. Slightly inspired after the Final Fantasy 7 character "Red XIII"

Yeah, I think we actually do have a video of it. Nice webcam footage of a CD-ROM's fate. Want me to try find it?
