I have Techniques 1200M3D and I can't throw in for %^%$ for my incoming record to match the beat of the playing record. I know the incoming is set at the right pitch and beatmatched too. I cue the incoming and release the record on the right beat..but can't get the beats to match. And, again, I know they're beatmatched already. Any suggestions, or help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Timing is everything, your release of the second record is pretty important, good release and you can know which way to adjust.

I match them up then let the second track run for awhile over the first with headphones off, go back, check and adjust a couple times.
There not going to stay exactly matched for too long , you have to adjust.

    Hand eye coordination.

    Throwing the record

Cue back and forth a few times before the start of the phrase you want to release the beat, then go for it.

Takes spot on timing to get the beats EXACTLY correct, which is why its tricky to throw the record with the incoming channel open and get the mix to sound good. It is possible though, and just takes practice!

Also, every 12" responds differently to the throwing... some catch up faster thus keeping the beatmatch, while others start a slow speeding, trainwrecking the whole mix. Try and be smooth and firm, this trick comes w/ practice. Vinyl has it's moods too, hehehe...

    Hey Alex,

You must like the sound of your own voice too much!

Or you're just talking to yourself
