For who's interested in the CD-302. I've just received an e-mail of a local Tascam distributor. He told me, the CD-302's now on delivery are equipped with the latest software version 1.40. He also told me there was still a bug in the CD-302. If you set the pitch real high in MT mode it will still create a double bass.

How high ? MT is basically time compression and expansion. Anything outside 10% is considered high.

He didn't say exactly how high, but he said in extreme conditions. So what's extreme? I'm going to order one tomorrow, so I can tell you later how good version 1.40 works.

Can you tell me how I can check the version of a CD-302?
I have the Tascam now for about 7 months and very pleased with my purchase. I'm only now finding out what you can do with this great piece of kit. You do have to get to know these players though. They are straightforward on the basic level, but as soon as you want to get indepth with the many features, they sometimes are not so easy/logical.

It sure is. I'm just hoping the CD-302 I've ordered is equipped with the V1.40 software version. I insisted when ordening, so it won't be a problem I think. But you never know. What to do, if I still receive the previous software version V1.3?
