Has anyone else here had any problems w/ the sony 700 dj headphones cracking? I have had mine for 6 months and the collar for the fork has cracked on the side that I use to monitor w/. I do not abuse these phone, so I am wondering if anyone else has a similar prob. Also does anyone know the warranty period. I figured it was 90 days, but I lost the warranty info. Thanks

How do you monitor, do you use your shoulder to press the cup firmly against your ear? This is how mine broke, the pressure of doing so cracked the cheap plastic collar.

    Unhappy

    ahhh...
not the way i do it, i just put it on my ears like regular headphones, and if i wanna hear what's outside i just put them over my shoulders (both cups) or i put one cup on the back of my head (sounds weird for ppl who don't own one but u know what i'm talking about right?)

Ahh... I know a fellah down the road who has 700 phones that look like brand new because he headphone mixes. I noticed that the cup I flip back on my head to hear the monitor w/ is cracking the black leather like material (I am guessing because of oil in people's hair). These are the best headphones I have heard yet, I just think Sony may need to fix a few things so these phones can hold up to all djs style.

I agree with biggd ..I am on pair no.3 ...,both
pairs cracked at the collar , Sony should really sort this out by reinforcing the collar ...but there the best full closed cup phones on the market for dj-ing. and are at very reasonable price .sennheisers hd25 were industry standard are excellent phones and I have had a couple of pairs over the years but personally I find the cup too small and they are (well in Ireland they are anyway) nearly 100euros dearer so i get 2 Sonys for the 1 HD 25)I would have no problem replacing the sonys with Sonys again
