remixing

Im honestly lost at how this works but any dj here know how to basically remix a song, as in a give u a beat and u lay the vocals from the origonal down to remix a song?

I apologize in advance for my ignorance, i really dont know anything about djing. Im just a beatmaker.

This isnt DJing - its remixing, and so would be done in a sequencer such as Cubase (or in this case Acid Pro or Ableton)

Bttr yet what i meant to ask was if there was a way to mix the vocals on a new beat. Like a mash up type thing. Like what cooking soul does.

loads of ways: get the acapella and do it live on decks. live on Abelton etc, or do it in the studio. What gear do you have?

All it requires is the acapella and the new beat...got to make sure the timing is accurate though

I did that with one of soulja boys songs "bird walk" just look for accapelas and get the vocals in wav (best quality) then if you use fruity loops just drag em into your playlist!

You need the acapella... get the CORRECT BPM... make a beat... and blend the two
