guitar center employees dont know wussup either. never trust a salesman working on commission.
go into your volume controls and turn up your line in
As standard most turntables give out a phono signal. Which are very low signals. As most inputs (soundcard inputs, amp inputs) use line signals (CD players, your iPod, mini disc pretty much everything gives out a line signal). Because of this your turntable would normally require a pre amp to boost the phono signal to the equivilant of a line signal. HOWEVER what I and GC obviously dont realise is your turntable already has a pre amp built in, in order to give out a line signal and avoid using an external pre amp. As for recording samples find what you want off your slab of wax and record it into whatever program you find best for cutting up samples. If you dont know I suggest trying various programs and cutting up some audio files to see what suits you best.
Yah i think ill just do that.... instead of wasting money on it 1st....
