Mixing & Recording Software for Mac?

    Hello All,

I am looking for a similar product to Acid Pro for my Mac. I used to use Acid pro for mixing and recording them, but since I am on a Mac now, Acid does not support that platform. I really like the simplicity and intuitiveness of Acid Pro and would like to know what recommendations anyone has for a similar product that can be used on a Mac?

Doesn't need it to be fancy, as I will not be doing more than importing my MP3's, chopping up, and mixing with other MP3's and beats from my iTunes.

Thanks in advance your your suggestions.

If you have an Apple iOS device you can make your playlists in iTunes and use DJ Rig FREE to mix on the go or in the studio. It's a free app on iTunes.

As for software to mix on OS X you could look at Pro DJ software, but it sounds like you want a DAW more than anything if you liked Acid pro. Try out Reaper and see how you like it. It is similar to Acid.

The software I miss using since going to MBP was Sony's Sound Forge and CD Architect. I've used those music programs for years and no app on the OSX platform comes close for me.
    '07 MBP, Logic 9 Pro, Traktor Pro 2, Ableton Live 8, Roland MV-8000/TR-808/TR-909, Akai MPC2KXL/MPK-49, x0xb0x #911, Denon DN-MC6000/DN2500F, 3 Technics 1200's, 3000+ records
