get a behringer I had a dx-500 when it was out, I was impressed by the quality for the price, I paid $149.00 for it. They have others out now with BPM counter, and huge kills on the EQ (-32db) I thik it is the DX-300 or something it is like $150 and it has individual channel VU meters. I have a DJM-500 now buty if I was going to get a cheap mixer this would be it. just my oppinion.

Personally, I wouldn't buy the PS-646 or Numark 100x... It really depends if you want a mixer that will last... Are you looking to buy a mixer? Or do you already have one?

I'm not a big Behringer fan myself... I wasn't impressed by the DX500 (sound quality, waek EQ, irritating X-fader curve etc)... but it is cheap! (so value for money isn't bad at all). I haven't tried the new VMX range from Behringer, but they look really cheap... and are really cheap too... so I wouldn't expect miracles

Unfortunately, like most things, you get what you pay for...

If you are looking for a good quality mixer, I'd look at Ecler and Gemini UMX.

    Cheers

Well, look at the Gemini UMX mixers... they are MUCH better quality than the other (stinky) gemini mixers...

Oh, also. don't get a mixer with a BPM counter, for the purposes of beat matching...

The BPM counters really aren't necessary at all... you'll be beat matching perfectly in no time... (I was worried about this when I started, but there's no need )

BTW, the cheap BPM counters on cheap mixers normally suck...

    ecler all the way baby!!

look into the concept 2 mixer. its a sturdy well built mixer with ecler sound for about $200. i've played on my friends and thought very highly of it.

i personally own an ecler smac-pr030 and love it!!

OK, if you get a Gemini, get nothing but UMX. Apparently, the best sound quality from a Gemini you're gonna' get, and they're loaded with solid features. Sound like great mixers.

In fact, just go with the Gemini, because they're the best at their price-point.

If you can get an Ecler then go for it, otherwise get a UMX.
