So I can get this one 2nd hand in good state for 50$.

I know it is for beginners. I know that if I want to "really" go DJ, buy a set of high grade turntables (Technics SL1200 or similar) or CD players like CDJ's.

I'm not looking into "really" DJing. What I want to do, is use this controller for scratches (not high demands, for demo use) on my beats. And for practicing for future live work, which will be DJing also.

What are you guys' experiences with this controller, are the touch based jog wheels gonna be a problem for scratching? How do they do, just for practicing? Is it worth my 50$?

I've seen a video of a guy actually doing some decent scratch work on one, but as far as learning on it I think you would have a very difficult time. Considering that they're only about $70 new its really up to you.
