    how do u de-static a record?

    My records came with a plastic sleeve. They are very staticy right out of the box. how can i "de-static" them?

    Swiffer dry sheets is what I use, some people have other ideas.

    so static is bad?... i thought it was normal. i'll pull records out that ballons would have nightmares about and drop em with no problems. what's so wrong with the static on recs. i hope i haven't ****ed anything up yet.....

    dust my friend... static + dust = bad for records....

    use any old lighter fluid and a dust pad.. this is also generally good for just cleaning records, and cheap too

    hmmm, ive heard of people who mark their records with lighter fluid. dunno though.
