I need to know if the Gemini SA-2400 or the SV-2200 are decent to buy. I would love technics but don't have that much money to work with. These are both straight arm tables. I need to know what the difference is really between the straight and offset arm is. Anybody know?

he strait arm help out with scratching---making the needle less likely to skip---however they cause record burn faster than the s shaped arm---and the s shaped arms have a better sound quality than a strait
 
argh dont buy those.. gemini made a fault by making the arm too long which causes that the benefits of a straight arm disappear..

if you want a cheap, but ok turntable buy a pt-2100 or a str8-60/80 (i prefer the gemini pt2100, the str8's are Q30's upgraded with a str8 arm)
 
definately, they kick the *** of the stantons

you might just wanna get 2000's/2100's tho, as the 2400 is the same deck with gimmicks :)
