Well I went to my local store and picked up a Allen and Heath Xone:32. I have only played with for a about and hour or two. So far it looks like I am going to have this thing for a while....I also order the P and G fader to go with it. Man...well if anyone has and questions just post em up or drop me a PM I would be happy to help you out if you are looking into it.

I also played with the new pioner cd tt thingy (dont know the model number) the one with the tt plater like thing on it...damn it is cool. To bad it does not spin like a TT...but I have heard that the reps have ones that do! A freind of mine that works there and is a skratch head demoed it for me....damn...best skratchen on cds I have ever hear....OMG...

If any one has questions about the xone32 leme know.

From what I was told by my friend that I bought it from. The P and G is know to be the Cadilacs of faders. His friend bought one (as did I, just waiting for it) and it feels SMOOOOTTTTTHHHH. HEH. Aparently, fader rides on four, yes four rails. Two on each side. I cant really give you an idea on how it is. I do not have mine yet....but I as soon as I get I will let you know. Also, the inards are big as hell....it is almost three time the size of the alps fader that come with the 32....

I've heard how good P&G x-faders are over and over from different sources.......What companies before A&H used them? If they where aftermarket how come I've never heard of them before? The only two companies I know that are famous for great cross faders are Rane and Vestax....I think they each designed their own and have them made by Alps, so where did P&G get their rep from? The marketing department? I've actualy heard of several people who have broken the knob post off the P&G fader? Also if they are so good why don't they use them on the volume faders as most good House/Trance/Techno I know rarely use the X-fader and the Xone does not really seem like a Hip Hop mixer.....I've also heard its really hard tobeat juggle on the P&G x-fader.....I have never used a P&G X-fader so I don't really know what I'm talking about

Penny & Giles is not a DJ-gear company.
They specialice in Potentiometers, LVDT's, Linear Motion Transducers, position encoders, etc.
I have used it a lot in offshore sensor electronics

I have never heard of P & G also. That does not mean they are not a good company. As for the broken X-fader knob...I duno what to say about that, stuff is going to break. Just to say that you heard something broke does not mean it is poor quality, I have heard that people say technics suck and break, so I can only say from my personal use. The only place I have been that knew what P & G faders were, were my friends at the store. Then second I mentioned P & G everyone said they were the shiznit. I think the thing is with P & G is, they are a super high end fader company and this is their first foray with DJ mixing consoles (the store I bought my gear from is pretty high end store).

As for your hip hop comment. I am not using this as a primary skratching mixer, if I was going to do that I would by a 07 or something similar. I needed a mixer with SOME skratch functions for when I am out mixing so I have the OPTION because I do have a skratch background.

Housie, I enjoy your criticism BTW
