With the Denon DN-5000 and its Alpha track feature where you can mix another song on the same CD with only one DN-5000, do you feel is still necessary to but a 2nd turntable?

And with this feature, how do you use your mixer to cue the 2nd track?

Can you scratch the 2nd track as its being cued in?

You can use the alpha track like a fully independent 2nd deck, so you can do everything you asked. However, you share a lot of controls, so in the end, you do want a second deck to complement. Alpha track is as useful as you make it.
