...damn thing still aint out!! I've wasted most my summer so far waiting. I might break down and buy the Vestax pmc 270A. I can get it for under $350. Either that or keep on waiting and pay $1,300 for a summer without a topnotch mixer.

Is it true that Guitar Center has a 90 return policy which you can 'try out' a piece of equipment and then return is.... 90 days later (or when the X9 is released). Anyone know any truth behind this policy?

Anyhow I still havent seen any new pictures of the X-9 from shows. ??

OOPS... i just noticed that. I was thinkn of waiting for the pmc-275. Anyhow the Rane M2016 is nice!! Great studio or home mixer. NOt really something I can pack up and take on the go like that nifty flight case for the Tascam X-9. I still here very little of the Allen&Heath. Is that cuz of theyre prices?

    X-9 Feedback?

just a little extract from one of davey daves posts

I will have more detailed specs on the faders (ie:brand) when the X9 is shipped very soon. The sharp crossfader curve is comparable to that of a Vestax 07 ISP. The X9 also has curve adjust on all channel faders, crossfader reverse, and channel fader reverse on all channels. You can also send a sample to the crossfader , not only sample fader start, but you can route a sample to the crossfader so you perform fade ins or "transforms" with the sample and crossfader.

No that isn't true. I just bought a 1200 and v700s from Guitar Center. No DJ equipment is returnable because they have a problem with people "renting" equipment for a weekend. Of course, you can exchange it if something is wrong with it.

damn the X9 sounds sweat but I think it is too much for me. I can see how you can be really creative with it though. Now if they made the Xone32 with the funtions of the X9....damn...that would be cool.

As for the 270a. I duno if it is discontinued. I would not buy it though. Build quality is iffy. If you do not have the cash for a nicer mixer, it is a great mixer. Just not up to my Rane standards

do you live in the getto or something? i bought a set of tables from GC and then took them back a few weeks later cuz i found a good deal on better decks. told them i didn't like the tables and got every cent of my money back.

ps. that sending samples to the crossfader business w/ faderstart sound cool

oh yeah ! add to that footswitches for triggering samples. and latching onto eq settings..... plus the 302 has the ability to set its own sample to fader start ! man u can be triggering two samples just by moving the crossfader ! ow ow ow wicked !
